Purpose of the role

Join ZSL in our landmark 200th anniversary year, working at the heart of the organisation and supporting colleagues across our Zoos and conservation teams. 

As Organisation Development & Training (OD&T) Administrator, you’ll play a key role in keeping learning and development activities running smoothly across ZSL. You’ll support the OD&T Advisor with day-to-day administration, including managing our online learning platform and training inbox, coordinating with Finance to raise and process invoices, and helping deliver training programmes, EDI initiatives, and wellbeing events. 

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in Learning & Development, excellent organisational skills, and the confidence to work both independently and collaboratively. You will be supported by a collaborative team that values inclusive ways of working and brings together a wide range of expertise, while contributing to meaningful initiatives that support and develop our people.

The role offers blended working, with two days per week based at our Regent’s Park head office and some travel to ZSL sites as required. The interview process will consist of one in-person stage (with flexibility for candidates who are overseas or on holiday). We are aiming to hold interviews week commencing the 19th January 2026. 

 
Key responsibilities:  
  • Internal Customer Service & Communications: Deliver a professional, responsive service to colleagues across ZSL by managing the OD&T admin inbox and supporting internal communications.
  • Learning & Development Coordination: Support the planning and delivery of training by preparing resources and schedules, managing course bookings, and providing high-quality administrative support to the OD&T Advisor and Senior OD Business Partner.
  • Learning Management System Administration: Manage the learning management system, including setting up events, maintaining user records, inputting data accurately, producing reports, and ensuring information is kept up to date.
  • EDI, Wellbeing & Engagement Support: Assist with EDI and wellbeing initiatives by contributing written content, coordinating events and calendars, and supporting staff networks and internal engagement activities.

About You

 
  • Consistently demonstrates a proactive and engaged approach to work.
  • Experience in a service-oriented, customer-facing role managing multiple priorities, ideally in a HR, L&D, or administration position.
  • Communicates effectively with advanced written, verbal skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to accurately input, update, and organise data using spreadsheets and information from multiple sources.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to use own initiative.
