Retail Team Leader Sam Shafique I’ve worked at ZSL London Zoo for eight and a half years. I spent many years returning as a seasonal sales assistant at this prestigious organisation - it is testament to what a fantastic and rewarding place it is to work. If you have a passion for wildlife and want to contribute towards conservation, ZSL is the place to be. I was determined to secure a permanent role here. Thanks to a great support network, I have now been a team leader for the past 2 and a half years, with hopes of further progression and opportunity in the future.

Seasonal sales assistant Phillipa Marsh I love coming to work in the morning and hearing the gibbons singing or the penguins braying, that’s something that is very hard to beat. In my role I like that I have been given the opportunity to learn different skills and am not always doing the same thing. Every day is different - I could be leading the admissions in the car park one day and on the entrance the next.
