Purpose of the role

As an Admissions Sales Assistant at London Zoo, every transaction is your chance to create a magical moment. You’ll be part of a lively, passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every visitor leaves with a smile. As one of the first people our visitors meet, you’ll set the tone for their entire day, welcoming them, answering their questions and helping them get the most out of their visit.

This role is offered as a 3-month contract to support us during a busy season. Working a minimum of 12 hours per week, including weekends, bank holidays, and Friday evenings during our ‘Zoo Nights’ events.
 
Key Responsibilities:  
  •  Sales Delivery: Support the achievement of on-site sales targets and KPIs across Admissions, Car Park, Membership sales, and Ticket scanning, helping us generate vital funds for our mission to create a world where wildlife thrives.
  • Customer Service: Providing a high level of customer service, dealing efficiently and courteously with any questions, or requested information.
  • Visitor Experience: Maintain Admissions areas to the highest presentation standards, ensuring a welcoming and engaging environment for all our guests.
  • Compliance & Procedures: Follow all published ticketing and cash-handling procedures to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

About You

  • Experience in customer service, retail, or admissions, with previous experience selling memberships seen as a bonus.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and has a genuine desire to create a great experience for our visitors. 
  • Brings a positive and flexible approach, able to adapt style and respond to visitor needs.
  • Must be available to work weekends and bank holidays.
